Successor Partners

The Big Four created more than a partnership; they established a company that put people (both employees and clients) before profits. This sense of unselfishness gained them loyalty and contributed to ensuring the success of all, which led to the continual existence of the Company. Many employees and clients have come and gone since those early days in 1955. The following is a listing of successor partners of BG&C.

Bernie Gowens

Bernie started working for the firm in 1961 in Tulia and moved to Friona in 1964 to oversee the new office there. He was not a CPA yet but was told he must pass the exam in order for BG&C to have an office in Friona. Bernie retired in 1995.

Jack Oakes

Jack started working for the firm in 1955 in Amarillo. He moved to Spearman in 1963 to manage the newly established practice there. Jack retired in 1992.

Gene Glazener (1936-2001)

Gene graduated from West Texas State University in 1958 and went to work for BG&C in 1961. He moved to the Canyon office in 1966 and became partner in 1967. Gene served on the Executive Committee of TSCPA.

Eugene Worsham (1936-1981)

Eugene graduated from West Texas State University in 1959. He went to work for BG&C in 1961, and became a partner in 1967.

W. C. Russell

W. C. graduated from West Texas State University in 1959. He started work in the Hereford office in 1958 and became a partner in 1962. He moved to the Amarillo office as manager in 1983. W. C. was President of the Corporation from 1975 until his retirement in 2002.

Ed Nichols

Ed attended West Texas State University and started work for the firm in the Amarillo office in 1968. He became a shareholder in the firm in 1975. Ed moved to the Canyon office in 1975 and opened an office in Dallas in 1979. Upon the purchase of a practice in 1980, Ed moved to Perryton to manage the office. Ed has been President of the Corporation since 2007.

Monty Blackman

Monty graduated from West Texas State University in 1973 and started work in the Spearman office. He became a shareholder in 1978. Monty became the office manager in 1990 until moving to the Austin office in 2005, where he became office manager.

Johnny Lacy

Johnny graduated from West Texas State University in 1969. Following positions in industry and with a national accounting firm he started work for BG&C in the Amarillo office in 1975. Johnny became a shareholder in 1975. He moved to Georgetown to work in the newly acquired practice in 1989. Johnny has served on the Executive Committee of TSCPA.

Jule Minium

Jule graduated from West Texas State University in 1975 and started work in the Amarillo office for the firm in 1975. He became a shareholder in 1979.

Jim Albers

Jim graduated from the University of Texas in 1975 and started work in the Canyon office that year. Jim became a shareholder in 1979. He moved to Georgetown in 1989 to manage the Georgetown practice. Jim was manager of the Georgetown and Austin offices until 2006.

Kaci Jones

Kaci graduated from West Texas State University in 1976. He started work for the firm in Tulia in 1977 and became a shareholder of the firm in 1980. He became office manager of the Tulia office in 1982. Kaci served as corporate Secretary from 1981 through 2006. In 2006, he moved to manage the Georgetown office.

Ron Gowdy

Ron graduated from West Texas State University in 1959. Following the merger of his firm with BG&C he became office manager of the Shamrock office in 1978. Ron became a shareholder in 1981. He retired in 2004.

Henry Ramaekers

Henry graduated from West Texas State University in 1977 and went to work in the Dimmitt office. Henry became a shareholder in 1982. He has managed the Dimmitt office since 1983.

Larry White

Larry graduated from West Texas State University in 1981. He started work for BG&C in 1980 in the Amarillo office. He became a shareholder in 1985. Following moves to the Perryton and Pampa offices, Larry returned to the Amarillo office.

Gregg Morgan

Gregg graduated from West Texas State University in 1981 and came to work in the Amarillo office. He became a shareholder in 1986. Gregg was President of the Corporation from 2003 to 2007

Duglas Ware

Duglas graduated from Lubbock Christian College in 1981 and came to work in the Tulia office in 1982. He became a shareholder in 1993. After a move to the Dimmitt office, Doug moved to the Pampa office in 1991, where he became office manager.

Debbie Turley

Debbie graduated from Texas Tech University in 1975 and received her MBA in 1980 from Laredo State University. Following positions in industry and in another accounting firm, Debbie came to work in the Amarillo office in 1985. She became a shareholder in 1994. Debbie was made office manager of the Amarillo office in 2002.

Lance Jones

Lance graduated from West Texas State University in 1985 and came to work in the Canyon office. He became a shareholder in 1994. Lance was made office manager in 1997. Lance has served as corporate Secretary since 2006.

Kevin Kinder

Kevin graduated from West Texas State University in 1985 and came to work in the Amarillo office. He became a shareholder in 1999. Kevin moved to the Austin office as the sole CPA and shareholder in 1995.

Travis Wolf

Travis graduated from Panhandle State University in 1988 and came to work in the Spearman office. Travis became a shareholder in 1999. Following a transfer to the Perryton office, Travis returned to Spearman and became office manager in 2005.

David Mooney

David graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1984. Following positions with a national accounting firm and various industries, David came to work in the Canyon office in 1989. He became a shareholder in 1999.

Gary Brown

Gary graduated from West Texas State University in 1988 and came to work in the Amarillo office. Following service in the Pampa office, he returned to the Amarillo office. Gary became a shareholder in 1999.

Carlette Litterst

Carlette graduated from Texas A&M University in 1975. Following service to the State of Texas and with another local firm she joined BG&C in the Georgetown office in 1994. She became a shareholder in 2001.

Carrie Bradshaw

Carrie graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1995 and worked with a local accounting firm. She came to work in the Georgetown office in 1997. Carrie became a shareholder in 2003.

Randy Singer

Randy graduated from West Texas State University in 1990. He worked in the Tulia office from 1989 until his partial retirement in 1994. After working part time for several years he returned to full time in 2002. Randy became a shareholder in 2005.

Jeff Fairchild

Jeff graduated from Tarleton State University in 2003. He came to work in the Amarillo office in 2003. He became a shareholder in 2009.

Jessica Chen

Jessica graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2000. She came to work in the Austin office in 2000. She became a shareholder in 2009.

Mikal Willimon

Mikal graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1993. He came to work in the Spearman office in 2004. He became a shareholder in 2009.
